Mission Statement
for the
FVL Library Media Center

All forms of media are God-given carriers of messages which serve as invaluable tools for Christian education.  The LMC exists for educational purposes and is an integral part of the curriculum.  Its materials parallel the offerings of each department.  The center provides sources of information over and above subject content, including those for wholesome Christian recreation and enjoyment.  The materials are selected from all forms of media and suited to the students' various styles of learning.  As Christians, we remember that "Everything is permissible" - but not everything is beneficial.  "Everything is permissible" - but not everything is constructive (1 Cor. 10:23).  Materials selected also take into account different levels of interest, vocabulary, maturity and ability among students.

The FVL Library Media Center operates to serve students, teachers, administration and Federation.  It coordinates their needs in an efficient and economical school media program.  The center works to provide for the needs of users both in the center and in the classroom.  For that reason, it endeavors to provide proper learning facilities and easy access to materials and equipment.  Furthermore, it provides facilities and equipment for the production of simple instructional materials.  To this end it seeks the active participation and cooperation of the entire school community.
